Crack A Brew And Cheer On The Canes With These Treats
We have been talking about the “official beer of the Carolina Hurricanes named for a meteorological storm”, but if you are looking for some more creative uses of my favorite brew to enjoy after a Hurricanes win, here are a few more with a literary twist!
A Storm Cloud.
John Steinback once wrote “If a man ordered a beer milk shake, he thought, he’d better do it in a town where he wasn’t known. But then, a man with a beard, ordering a beer milk shake in a town where he wasn’t known–they might call the police.”
I have experimented with this since first reading Canary Row many moons ago and I have recently decided this is my go to celebration for a Carolina Hurricanes win. Being classy, I have kicked it up a notch with “official beer of the Carolina Hurricanes named for a meteorological storm” for the hockey season. The cherries are also a classy touch and add some Hurricanes red.
Vanilla Ice Cream (as much as you can fit)
Seedless/Stemless Maraschino Cherries (as many as you want)
Milk (the more you add the less brew you can add so not too much)
A can of “official beer of the Carolina Hurricanes named for a meteorological storm”
Blend in a mixer and enjoy
Should you find your Bipalychaetorsonechtomy acting up, and you don’t have a blender handy, you can try the Mike Maniscalco approach. I’ve never heard someone in sports broadcasting mention ice cream as much as Mike, so this one is for you “Big Rig.”
Vanilla Ice Cream (as much as you can fit)
A can of “official beer of the Carolina Hurricanes named for a meteorological storm”
Pour brew over ice cream and eat with a spoon.
These treats are both literary, in case you didn’t know who John Steinbeck was, and great for celebrating Carolina Hurricanes wins. Give them a shot with “official beer of the Carolina Hurricanes named for a meteorological storm.” As the Hurricanes are Storm Surging, crack a brew, crab the ice cream, and enjoy!
