The summer is here! The Carolina Hurricanes and the rest of the NHL will take some time off from the ice, disappointing the fans. Off the ice will be chaotic, just the way Caniacs like it. But if you are craving hockey and need a pick-me-up, the Canes have announced their preseason schedule to cool you off.
Six games are on the schedule for the Canes as they once again chase after Lord Stanley's Cup. Three of those games will be played at PNC Arena, with the final tune-up to the season being played at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville against the Predators.
Carolina will play Nashville twice and the defending Stanley Cup champion, Florida Panthers, twice. To keep things consistent, Carolina and Tampa Bay will also play twice to round out the schedule, including the opening exhibition game of the season in Tampa Bay.
The first game is on September 24th and the preseason schedule is on October 5th. Hang in there hockey fans, the Canes will be back before you know it.
Eric Tulsky and the Canes will keep things entertaining for you over the summer as we see which players don the red and black come September for this preseason.
