Online Sports Betting in North Carolina

It appears that North Carolina is extremely close to legalizing online sports gambling. Next January will begin the start of online sports gambling.

Governor Roy Cooper signed a bill on Wednesday and that was the last hurdle for legalizing online sports betting in the great tar heel state. Additionally, eight facilities will be able to operate the sportsbook.

Naturally, all sports will be affected by this as it does in the other states that have legalized online sports gambling.

Many of the 50 states have legalized online sports betting or have proposed legislation. Currently, Alaska, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah do not have legalized online sports betting.

It is a big deal for the state and will certainly put a boost to the economy.

Fantasy sports have been around forever but now the fans sitting in PNC Arena will have a chance to bet on any scenario of the game at the tips of their fingers.

Certainly, Caniacs are thoroughly into their team and their games but this will make the rest of the NHL slates a bit more interesting.

Many sportsbook apps will be possible in January and most likely add to the list as 2024 moves along with the NHL season.

It is important to play with caution as gambling addiction is a serious issue in the world with many outlets to help. The new apps have ways to limit betting and time on the app which is extremely helpful.
