We all wish the best for Ovechkin and his family during this difficult time.
As it pertains to the Carolina Hurricanes, the Washington sniper will miss this evenings contest as well as the Stadium Series game on Saturday.
It will be one less player to game plan for Rod Brind’Amour as the Capitals have some dangerous scoring threats up front with Evgeny Kuznetsov and Dylan Strome
The Stadium Series will surely miss the star of the game and of the NHL but it will be a chance for others to take the spotlight and run with it.
