Carolina Hurricanes: Keys to Recovering Against Tampa Bay
Aho and Svechnikov
It is no secret that Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov have been underperforming lately.
To be completely fair to Svech, he’s just now been given first line minutes the past couple of games in Teuvo Teravainen‘s absence.
Aho is also a known slow-starter, but for the past few games, both Svech and Aho have been shadows of their former selves.
I’m not entirely sure if it’s a chemistry thing, or if the bounces are just not going their way lately, but both of them need to get back into the groove and start playing like we know they can.
Both of these guys are legitimate superstars, and you expect either of them to step up and pot a sorely needed goal, especially during games like last night’s stinker, but it just hasn’t happened for them yet.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say they’re “snakebit” just yet, but they both are getting a little bit too close to that territory for my comfort.
