The Carolina Hurricanes are back in a playoff spot and back on a winning streak. Here is who needs to step up tonight to continue the fun!

Well Sunday sure was a fun day for Caniacs far and wide! Not only did the boys in white and red leave with a W but a 6-2 pounding of the Penguins who still sit above them.

Everyone had a great game on Sunday with some big time points from our Dads: Justin Williams and Jordan Staal. But what everyone has been talking about is this Geekie kid! Morgan Geekie gets 2 goals and an assist in his NHL debut, you can’t make that stuff up.

Ned also played on his head in the crease. Now there is no telling how long Geekie will be up with the Canes and Ned was sent back to Charlotte simply because he doesn’t require waivers like Foresburg does.

Pick Analysis. Dad. player. 109. Season Report. F. Justin Williams. 14

UNIONDALE, NEW YORK – MARCH 07: Justin Williams #14 of the Carolina Hurricanes moves the puck ahead of Anders Lee #27 of the New York Islanders during the second period at NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum on March 07, 2020 in Uniondale, New York. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)

The return of Williams has been nothing short of amazing. Yes there was a little four game hiccup but man did the vet get the kids rolling again.

Williams now has 5 points, all goals, in the last 4 games. He has been an absolute pest in the net front and on the power play. He has had a few open nets he has missed the last few games but still came away with points at the end of the day.

This could be Justin’s last NHL season, you really think it won’t end in the playoffs?

51. Season Report. D. He's Actually Good. Jake Gardiner. player. 109. Pick Analysis

PHILADELPHIA, PA – MARCH 05: Jake Gardiner #51 of the Carolina Hurricanes holds off Chris Stewart #44 of the Philadelphia Flyers in the first period at Wells Fargo Center on March 5, 2020 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Drew Hallowell/Getty Images)

Gardiner was more or less THE man after Dougie’s injury. For the past few weeks though he has still been much better defensively sound but quite on the offensive end.

With a goal and an assist against Pittsburgh and a game tonight against the, last place by a country mile, Red Wings, it’s a chance to get back after it. Time to build some confidence and show Rod he can deafened and score.

Season Report. F. Sebastian Aho. 20. player. 109. Pick Analysis. Fishy

UNIONDALE, NEW YORK – MARCH 07: Sebastian Aho #20 and Vincent Trocheck #16 of the Carolina Hurricanes celebrate their 3-2 overtime victory over the New York Islanders at NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum on March 07, 2020 in Uniondale, New York. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)

15 games left in the regular season, and Aho still needs 9 more goals to match Eric Staal’s record of 45 goals in a single season. He could use some playoff games to add to this, but tonight would be a great way to get back in the scoring swing.

Tonight the Canes still can’t lose, they need their 2-4 liners to play well but they also need everyone on that SAT line to use this as a momentum game for the next few games. Aho will do that. It feels like a 3 points kind of night for the kid.
