Carolina Hurricanes: Fantasy Picks, Betting vs Colorado Avalanche
The Carolina Hurricanes HAVE to get back on track tonight. In light of all of the playoff hunt stress, lets look at fantasy picks as Avengers and have some fun today.
That last game was not fun to watch, by any means. It seemed rather prevalent that the Carolina Hurricanes made certain trade deadline moves to make a push to win it all this year. So why did the Canes come out so flat?
We will call Dallas a wash and blame it on first game jitters. There were several break downs defensively, and not many smart offensive chances. There were a lot of shots but not all at the right time or place. The Canes simply could not find the back of the net.
Instead of dwelling on it, we will be having some fun and making our picks while deciding who each pick would be if they were an Avenger. Is this because I personally have been binge watching the Avengers movies on Disney+? 100%.

Fantasy Picks
Sebastian Aho – Iron Man
Throughout The Avengers’ Iron man, Tony Stark, is seen at the forefront of the group of superheros. Iron man heads up all of the projects, makes the team look better, and constantly innovates his team to be better and fight crime.
During the recent success of the team, and even the tough years of 2015-2018, Sebastian Aho has been a catalyst of production for the Carolina Hurricanes. Even through the last very tough stretch, Aho has been producing offensively, and even breaking records. He now has a 13-game point streak (career high), and 19 points in those 13 games.
Much as how Tony Stark created history with his first Iron man suit, Aho is looking to create the Hurricanes’ first 50-goal season. This goal will not be easy but it is doable; Aho has 36 goals and 20 games left to play.
Jaccob Slavin – Captain America
Throughout the Marvel Universe, Captain America is known for his honesty and always doing the right thing. While he might not create as many cool things as Stark does, He is known for calling the shots and being an outright leader.
If this isn’t Jaccob Slavin, I don’t know how else to describe him. Slavin is always very sound in his technique, especially defensively. He might not score all of the goals, but he is one of the best leaders on the team.
While Captain America doesn’t have a suit of armor, he has a shield made out of the strongest metal on earth. Slavin himself is the strongest metal on earth with just how amazing he is defensively.
Andrei Svechnikov – The Hulk
The Hulk, Bruce Banner, is a fan favorite and one of the best Avengers. A science experiment gone wrong, when he gets angr,y he turns into a beast that can’t be stopped, not even by himself. While Hulk fights with the Avengers for good, he often causes outside strife because he can’t control himself in “beast mode.”
I would like to think this is a rather spot-on representation of Svechnikov. He is very well known and loved by the fans and does a ton of great things. But when Svechnikov is in “beast mode”, his temper gets the best of him and he often ends up in the penalty box. It should be noted that as the movies progress, Banner learns to control himself as Hulk and it seems that Svechnikov has been learning how to stay out of the box.
That being said, Svechnikov is rather unstoppable and will smash anything in his path to victory..

Canes Playoff Push
Well, we are here. The predicament nobody wanted: Canes come into tonight outside of the playoffs, but now with the New York Rangers a part of a SEVEN team Metro race. As if being on the outside looking in wasn’t bad enough, there is another team on our backs.
So for tonight, in order of importance we need:
Canes > Aves
Philly > Rangers (can’t let them catch up)
Wild > Blue Jackets
Ducks > Pens
