After a bad loss, the Carolina Hurricanes need to find some points just 24 hours later. Here is your complete guide to get your fantasy lines set up for tonight’s matchup.

Last night’s game was not good but I do apologize: I was at the game and did not wear my black Svechnikov jersey I had been wearing during the point streak. I will take the blame for the loss yesterday.

On a positive note, in reality the Carolina Hurricanes did score 4 of the 7 total goals last night. It just happened that two of them went in past Petr Mrazek.

An unfortunate night is now followed by a 24 hour turnaround, but we got this tonight. We have some point streaks rolling, a power play that needs to pick up, and some more physical hockey to be excited about for tonight!

The Faithful Young Duo

Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov both extended their point streak last night to 11 and 9 games, respectively. They are each only one game behind tying their all time season high point streak now. They play on the same line and the same power play unit. If one scores, it’s going to come from the other.

They are hungry and (by the way) Svechnikov is MAD. The Carolina Hurricanes’ effort was pitiful last night, and they know it. They will step up and fix it tonight if nobody else does.

The Captain

Let’s be completely honest with each other here, Jordan Staal has been a letdown in offensive production this year. BUT coming off of a 2-game point streak, making smarter plays and forechecking better, could we see a return of Screaming Staal from the playoffs last year?

Hopefully, and if there is any time to do it it’s right now. He’s still the right guy to wear the ‘C’, but he needs to score more. You know what? Tonight, he will. Bank on it!

Best Blue Liner in the NHL

ST LOUIS, MISSOURI – JANUARY 25: Jaccob Slavin #74 of the Carolina Hurricanes skates in the game between Metropolitan Division and Atlantic Division during the 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Game at Enterprise Center on January 25, 2020 in St Louis, Missouri. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)

That’s right, that’s our all-star! 5 points in 5 games. Jaccob Slavin has a sneaky 32 points on the year and just keeps the tally going.

He has stepped up for Dougie Hamilton well, even if everyone else hasn’t. Regardless of his linemate, if he’s on the ice, he will protect the net and make a smart play in the offensive zone.

He is also on that first PP unit with Aho and Svechnikov, so watch out as they could all get you bonus points tonight.
