The Carolina Hurricanes found a winning stride, but no room to let up being in the Metro. Here is your game-day guide to a Canes win.

Well the Canes sure found some new offensive identity in their last two games but so has the rest of the Metro division. The Canes sit outside of the playoffs as today starts because everyone else in the Metro is winning as well.

Apparently being a top 10 team in the NHL doesn’t mean much when you are in a division with 5 other top 10 teams. BUT we press on and focus on tonight.

A few certain guys have absolutely showed up recently and therefore have earned a starting spot on your fantasy team tonight.

Carolina Hurricanes Fantasy Picks

ST. LOUIS, MO – FEBRUARY 4: David Perron #57 of the St. Louis Blues and Sebastian Aho #20 of the Carolina Hurricanes battle for the puck at Enterprise Center on February 4, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri. (Photo by Joe Puetz/NHLI via Getty Images)

9 points in the last 5 games! Aho thrives on the Money line with Teuvo Teravainen and Andrei Svechnikov. This line produced 2 goals and 5 offensive points last game and 4 goals and 7 points last game.

Yes all three of these guys should be in your fantasy line up, but if you’re trying to maximize points, go with the guy that is on pace to be the highest single season Canes scorer ever. There are no signs of Aho slowing down so start him and get rewarded.

Remember when most Canes fans wanted this man gone before the all star break? Me too. Gardiner has easily been the most improved player this year, and has stepped up big time since Hamilton’s injury.

5 points in the last 4 games and 3 assists last game! Jake has been rolling recently and has opened up as a big offensive option for our attackmen. What ever it was, warming up to the guys, or being paired with different teammates, Gardiner has settled in nicely, finally.

Some speculate he might also be on the trading block after the season and needs to produce. Well, he has earned my respect to stay a Cane, and a spot in the fantasy line up as well.

Shoot-out goals do not count towards a players point total, and shoot-outs cause a lot of stress, but man Williams makes it fun.

That’s 3 times now he has won the game for the Canes in shoot-out. You can’t make this stuff up. While PP1 has been struggling this is one area that Justin can help the guys out. This will produce more momentum for the guys and more fantasy points for you. If Williams can make a difference on special teams tonight, it will make the difference to win the game.
