The Carolina Hurricanes’ social media handle on twitter has been collecting more wins this season than any other team, take a look at their greatest hits!

Let’s get real for a moment, win or lose, the official Carolina Hurricanes twitter account has been on fire. As Hurricanes fans, we should all take this opportunity to appreciate the wonders that is the Carolina Hurricanes twitter account.

No lie, the day I saw that the Carolina Hurricanes Twitter account followed me back…I might of jumped with joy.

If they are not currently following you, I will personally join your campaign to earn you a follow back. As a friend of Hurricanes twitter account, I have gotten good morning messages, pictures to use on my phone background, gifs, and messages about being awesome. No, you are awesome Hurricanes twitter.

One benefit of Hurricanes twitter being awesome is it helps when we become for lack of better word, toxic. We play worst case scenario in our heads and build our perfect Hurricanes roster. The Hurricanes twitter account helps us in our times of need to realize why we are fans of this team.

Best Bromance in the League

I first want to start of with the special bond the Carolina Hurricanes have with the Colorado Avalanche. This is what true friendship should look like, until they face each other in the Stanley Cup Final. When that day happens friends will become foes until the series is over, but until then, lets marvel at this friendship.

Both accounts often give each other high five’s, especially when one beats one of their foes. They also helped each other out for the NHL All Star last man in vote.  If you are an Avalanche fan or Hurricanes fan this friendship needs to protected at all cost.

Carolina is Always Classy

Stay classy Carolina. If you know what this statement means you are aware of the rivalry, or not rivalry between both Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals. During the Hurricanes playoff drought, hockey fans are aware of the rivalry between both Pittsburgh and Washington, but last years first round proved these teams could become playoff foes for years to come.

Several times during the season when these two teams faced off against each other, the Canes changed their bio to Stay Classy Carolina. Also, on World Kindness Day back on November 13th, one team was missing from getting positive words from the Hurricanes twitter account. Can you guess who?

Another aspect of this rivalry that makes it even absolutely hilarious, is how much Capitals fans deny this is a rivalry. Hopefully the next time we face each other in the playoffs will be a clear indication that this rivalry not only exists, but with last for years to come.

Keeping the Theme Going

No Matter what the theme of the game is, Carolina Hurricanes twitter goes above and beyond embracing the theme. They will face their dark side, or light side on Star Wars Night. Change their profile pictures to match themes on Hockey Fights Cancer Night, Military appreciation night, or Hockey is for Everyone to name a few.

This willingness shows the fans they care for the causes they are supporting, or just having fun with the events of the evening. On January 31st, that was the Carolina Hurricanes Hockey Talks Night to support ending the stigma around mental illness. We all know someone or it is possible you are someone who suffers from some form of mental illness. This night helps remind us all we are not alone in this fight.

There are some nights that reminds us all this is more than just a game.

We Are Family

Please forgive me with my corny headline, but one thing we all know is that in a family you will always find a way to uplift or tease one another. That is the case at hand with the Canes twitter account. They posted a video as Sebastian Aho as Elf on the Shelf that just blew the doors off the movie Elf.

The twitter account also shows support for the teams in Carolina. Durham Bulls, Charlotte Checkers, and all the local college teams. How often do the send fist pumps to these teams.

More from Cardiac Cane

There is also a hilarious video of Justin Williams working odd jobs during his time away from hockey. It cracks me up every time I see watch. There are times when Hurricanes twitter account understands are pain. During the summer months or long stretches without hockey. In these cases we are part of the family too.

I can continue to post all the videos and tweets that have delighted Caniacs for months on end but then this article would never end. Instead I invite everyone to join twitter and enjoy the moments as they come and go. This Carolina Hurricanes team is not going to let up the gas on their tweeting engine anytime soon.  Be there for it!
