The Carolina Hurricanes are back on the road again for the next four games. These games need to be wins, and these players will make sure of that.

Finally the Canes seem to be playing like the Canes we all know and love. It took a let down game and then some stressful OT, but the Canes got two points out of Sunday. For now that’s all that matters.

While Vegas didn’t go as planned, the Canes are still 14-4-2 against the West. If there is any time to gain ground in a wild Metro, it’s this trip out west. To put in perspective how crazy the Metro is; if the Canes win tonight and Columbus, Philly, and the Islanders all lose, the Canes will jump from 6th in the Metro, not in a playoff spot, to third in the Metro above both wild card spots.

Crazy stuff right? Even crazier, is this is the first game Joel Edmundson get’s against his old team and the Canes get against Faulk. Seems only natural that return games spark something in a player, which is why Edmundson is fantasy pick 1 tonight.

109. Pick Analysis. D. . Joel Edmundson. 6. Season Report. player

After a rather dry spell for Edmundson, he tallied an assist last game for Svechnikov’s amazing power goal. This was the spark he and the team needed.

Return games often spark a lot of emotion, which can be amazing or detrimental for a player. Coming off of a positive game, tallying an assist, Joel will take all of the emotions and channel them into a positive game tonight.

Joel get’s a goal tonight, bank it.

Pick Analysis. . Warren Foegele. 13. player. 109. Season Report. F

As some have predicted, such as probably a very intelligent author of this article, it seems Justin Williams has been a rotational forward for the injured and the slumped.

While some argue this messes with line chemistry, it seems that Rod hasn’t quite found the perfect line-up yet. But what the rotation does do is: 1. keeps Williams on the ice, and 2. makes  each game an earn it game for all players.

All of the players have picked up on this and Foegele must have looked at the stat sheet and not seen a point in 4 games. Foegele went in to grind mode on Sunday and captured two assists, it’s hard to sit that performance. Expect the Swede to keep up this performance to stay on the ice.

5 fantasy points tonight.

20. Pick Analysis. F. . Sebastian Aho. player. 109. Season Report

5 points in the last 5 games. Not too much more is needed other than that Aho seems to always be in the right place at the right time. It doesn’t matter who is on Aho’s line he will score, specially if its Teravainen.

Aho also had quite a few short handed chances last game. If he can find a move other than the back hand five-hole, he will get even more short handed points. Still getting great looks on the first power play unit as well, Aho will have quite a fantasy night if he can finish special teams goals.

7 fantasy points tonight.

for tonight’s game:

Lot’s of emotion tonight, but playoff spots on the line. Should be fun to see Faulk again, but a hard fought game. The Blues have been rolling while the Canes struggling as of late so the Canes are not favored tonight. This is a good night to get your money back you might have lost on the Vegas game. Canes get a wild and fun win 5-3 tonight.
