Production Up and Down the Lineup

Something that is key to any teams success is their ability to have depth scoring. This game featured just that, as there was production from many guys on the roster tonight. While the game may not have been easy to watch at times, it’s nice to see production from guys outside of the stars of this team.

Lucas Wallmark got the scoring started for the Hurricanes in the first, netting his third goal against the Flyers this season alone. Warren Foegele had a big game tonight. He would put up a goal and an assist. With that, he has 13 points in his last 15 games. Brock McGinn and Jordan Martinook would both put up an assist, only further showing just how solid our 4th line really is.

Tonight was a big night for the defensemen of the Hurricanes. Jake Gardiner had a big night, and good for him! He’s had a rough season when it comes to defense, but he’s got a wicked shot. He put up a goal and an assist. Joel Edmundson would score right after Gardiner to bring the Hurricanes’ lead to 4-2. Hamilton would cap it all off with an overtime tally.

With a game that was as important as this one, seeing some different guys come up big was huge for the team. As the season rolls alone, you need the depth guys to step up and contribute on the score sheet. Tonight, we saw that happen across the board. Let’s hope we can get steady production like this in the upcoming game against Arizona.
