The Carolina Hurricanes need to get back off the losing skid, and soon. Here is who will help the Canes catch the W tonight.

Who doesn’t love a good Canes game with about 30 emotions in 60 minutes of hockey! That’s what we Caniacs got on Monday afternoon. The whole first period against the leafs was lethargic and it seemed to be a wash of a game.

Then came the second period and early third where you might have as well have given the Canes Lord Stanley’s cup right there. And then when the world needed the Canes defense most, they vanished. Canes ended up taking the L on this one giving up four unanswered goals late in the third.

But there were some rather positive notes from the game, many of which lead to the fantasy hockey picks for tonight.

Pick Analysis. F. Erik Haula. Season Report. Happy Haula-Days!. 56. player. 109

Haula, the best crease forward in the league, is back! While his absence allowed others such as Lucas Wallmark to step up, it’s always great to be at full strength.

Even with Haula missing 19 games due to injury, he is still 4th on the Canes for most goals. And with 14 points in only 18 games Haula is nearly averaging a point a game. Having over a month to rest and recover has done Haula wonders and has allowed him to come back no less than 100%. This health from the power forward lead to a three point game up in Toronto.

Haula is back and looking like himself. Hopefully nobody dropped or traded him, but it’s time to put him back in the lineup for tonight!

player. F. Future Calder Winner. Martin Necas. 88. Season Report. Pick Analysis. 109

Ah yes, the rookie is back. Well he’s back back now. Necas also had a little time off due to injury and returned to the lineup for the wonderful Canada trip a few weeks ago. While Necas was skating like normal for that trip he couldn’t find the net.

Necas is back to playing like the Calder Trophy winner again, having his first ever four point game up in Toronto on Monday. Necas could have easily gotten his deserved hat trick if it wasn’t for the meddling third period.

Necas also racked up an assist in the loss to Florida last Saturday as well. The points are coming for the rookie and the wins will come as a team. A full 60 minutes of play is needed from the whole squad tonight. If Necas can continue to do his part, the Canes and your fantasy team will both have a big night.

Season Report. Pick Analysis. Better Than Ovechkin. Andrei Svechnikov. 109. F. 37. player

Mr. Reliable, Mr. leading point scorer for the Canes, Mr. Lacrosse; what ever you may call Andrei Svechnikov you better be calling on him in fantasy.

With his own jersey number, 37 total points on the season (we aren’t even half way), Svechnikov is on his way to a 70+ or even an 80+ point season. Truly incredible for the young man, no sophomore slump here for the young Russian.

Svechnikov is nowhere near done folks.

He better not be out of your fantasy lineup ever; he might even score if the Canes aren’t playing. Andrei will be hot tonight too, take these three and start them and you can expect up to 8 points tonight.
