The Carolina Hurricanes come back home collecting 9 out of 10 points on a five game road trip. Here is who will help continue this winning streak at home.

Canes vs Everyone! Canes win again, and take all but one playoff point home with them from this long Canadian/West trip! And in exciting fashion. As a Canes fan your blood pressure should never be steady throughout the game, especially this trip. But at the end of the day the boys pulled it off and get to play back home again tonight!

Over all this trip was a success in many ways. Obviously there are more points for the Canes in the playoff column, but to gather all but one on a tough road trip is huge for momentum. The Canes come home to face only eastern conference teams for the rest of 2019, including two important divisional games.

For a few players the Canes could have lost every game and they would still produce; such as Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and Teuvo Teravainen. But this road trip allowed certain key players to get that confidence boost to make an impact back home.

This seven game point streak is just what the Captain ordered, and needed. The screaming Jordan celly is back!

Staal has racked up six points on this streak and two of them have come from the power play. There was some question about Staals production for a while, and that can all go to rest now. Staal is without a doubt the man to wear the “C”. He is the embodiment of a leader on and off the ice, his points just weren’t there.

The Captain is back in his office and it looks dangerous for anyone else out there. He will continue to roll starting tonight. At least 3 fantasy points.

The hometown hero gets it done in Colorado! Jaccob Slavin who is actually from Colorado, with family in attendance, scored the game winner against the Avalanche last thursday night helping the Carolina Hurricanes to a shocking three minute comeback against the western leading team. It came with all the emotions that were a requirement for such a game.

For those of you new to hockey, welcome! This is what we call a grown man play! Slavin knows that we are tied, what’s on the line and takes the game into his hands. Because of this grit from Slavin, the Canes come home high on momentum.

Jaccob Slavin also has a very quite 19 points on the year. That’s in the top 30 of all NHL defensemen in  point scoring. All said and done, Slavin is on a roll with two points in the last two games. As the most solid defenseman on the Canes, expect Slavin to step up tonight and get you some fantasy points.

Yes that is right folks. Dougie Hamilton is the most deserving defenseman for the Norris Trophy. There will actually be a public meeting in regards to Dougie’s candidacy tonight at PNC Arena in Raleigh NC. The attire is anything red black or white. Come one and come call to support this young man and his deserved award.

Hamilton is the second leading point scorer among all NHL defensemen. With 34 points and 12 goals, Hamilton is on the way to the history books. He is a menace from the blue line to the power play. He can even score from downtown Cary as well if the goalie gets caught sleeping.

Hamilton should never leave your line up and oh yea, he loves playing at home in front of his 19,000 closest friends. except a big game tonight from the future Norris winner.
