Three Hurricanes up for All Star Fan Votes as Captain of the Metropolitan Division

The NHL All Star Fan Vote Presented by Adidas is here! That means it is time to Vote to send your favorite Hurricanes to lead the Metropolitan Division.

The 2020 NHL All Star Game is next month. Yes. Already. That means that the voting has already opened up for voting in the Captains of the four divisions and it is up to you to vote in your favorite players to lead each of the divisions in the tournament. Preferably Carolina Hurricanes.

St. Louis, home of the current NHL Stanley Cup Champion Blues, will be the host of this season’s All Star game. The two day event will follow the same format of previous seasons with a skills competition day followed by the divisions 3v3 10 minute tournament game. While the fans have no control over the lineup that will represent each division, they can vote for the Captain.

This year at least three players from each team is up for voting as the Captain of the Metro Division. While it may seem inevitable that it will be Alex Ovechkin for yet another year, there might be reason to believe fans will go with someone else, especially since he snubbed the event last year after fans voted for him.

This year the three main Carolina Hurricanes you can vote to send to the All Star game are Sebastian Aho, Dougie Hamilton, and Andrei Svechnikov. Do not be surprised if these three all go the All-Star game regardless of the outcome of this vote. All three have been fantastic this season and have really proven themselves to be superstars that can lead the team to success.

There are more than enough good reasons to vote for either of the three players to lead the rest of the metro into the tournament. Aho has truly grown, now in his fourth NHL season and is more than ready to prove he is a true leader This would help cement him as the future Captain of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Both Dougie Hamilton and Andrei Svechnikov have the charisma and style needed to lead a team into the antics of the All Star game. This game is supposed to be fun not serious. Players should be allowed to be themselves and either of the two can really help deliver that atmosphere when the Metro is on the ice.

Remember, you can vote for whichever Carolina Hurricane you chose to send ten times per day, so vote everyday to help send your favorite to the All Star game with a fancy letter on their yet-to-be-revealed All Star Jersey. It would be an excellent show of fandom to the rest of the league to prove that the Caniacs can more than represent.
