The Carolina Hurricanes are trying to return to basics and win end november on a positive note. Here is how you can do the same in fantasy and on the betting line.

Last night was a complete loss in faith in this team as they suffer their first shutout of the season. That means that going into tonight they will have to return to the basics of the game in order to succeed. That means you need to return to the basics of the goal scorers. To return to the basics of what makes this team so good.

The holy trinity. The Ironman, Captain America, and Thor of the team. The Batman, Superman, and Wonderwoman of the team. You know exactly who I am talking about. Sometimes when it call comes crashing around your ears you need to pick yourself up from where you started. For this team that starts at these three players.

Dougie Hamilton is a blue line bomber and an anchor when it comes to offense. Let’s be honest here without him this team is one dimensional. If he isn’t getting his looks like the last two game this team is as dead in the water as a woman tried for witchcraft in the late 1600s. Expect him to be part of the game plan to get back into the season tonight.

That means starting him not only in your lineup but as your utility player if you have to. He will get the minutes and he will supply you with exactly what your team needs to get ahead tonight. Plan accordingly.

If you were wondering, he is the Thor and Wonder Woman of this trio with that godly hair, a shot that strikes like lightning, and his friendly but devastating nature.

The Andrei Svechnikov point streak has ended with the shutout. But that is okay. Time to start a new one. With some floodgates opening tonight, expect him to really lay on the offense as this team tries to get back to their winning ways. This month started off high on his lacrosse style or Michigan goal or whatever you want to call it. It should end with him scoring too.

The only concern I have with Svechnikov is that he is a little too eager to get on the board and might not have the patience with the puck tonight. That just means more SOG for you. Expect him to get more and more TOI starting tonight.

If you are wondering about the Russian, he is our Ironman with his precision shots and our Batman with how crafty he is with the puck.

Sebastian Aho has been caught in a cold spell. He hasn’t managed to get on the board in while. That will change soon enough tonight as he takes full control of the game. I expect a herculean effort from the Finnish forward tonight that will rival only that of, well himself in previous games. So ensure that you are doing the best you can to steal him from your opponents.

That in mind, if your opponent has Aho in his lineup tonight, I would suggest you forfeit the rest of the season, delete your accounts, change your identity, and move to Finland where you can make penance for not drafting him first overall in your league, sinner.

With Svech as Ironman/Batman and Dougie as Thor/WW that leaves him as… that’s right. That leaves Aho as our Captain America. Our Superman. Almost drawn to the dark side of Montreal, he is now back and more powerful than ever with headvision that can laser a puck through the most complex of opportunities and defensive play on the penalty kill that has him acting like a shield to the netminder.

Courtesy of The Action Network the Canes are currently +135 on the money line, compared to +125 when it opened. The Canes have the over on this game at -125 on 6.5, and are +187 on the -1.5 spread.

The Hurricanes are actually the underdogs for once in a very long time. Perhaps now you can make all that money back you lost over the last two games betting on them. Tampa is a rough opponent, but they got this.
