The Carolina Hurricanes didn’t allow one loss to turn into a streak. Here’s who will get the Canes win streak going again.
On a special night, Hockey Fights Cancer night, The Carolina Hurricanes dug deep and found the win. Most hard core Caniacs might have seen the trend of 3 losses, 3 wins, 4 losses, 4 wins. Thankfully we didn’t have to see 5 losses turn into 5 wins.
last night the boys in red and black came back from 2-0 and scored 4 unanswered goals. Everyone contributed, had fun, and made a special night special.
Key note from last night being how Andrei Svechnikov extended his point streak to seven games now. At this point Everyone, even Capitals fans, should have Svechnikov starting in fantasy. So let’s take a look and a few of the other impact players that are getting these wins along side golden boy Svechnikov.
Teravainen had quite a night last night with 3 assists, putting him in the lead for most assist on the squad. Teravainen also sits at third on the team as leader in points.
There have only been four games this year that Teuvo hasn’t had an offensive point in. And he is averaging over 1 point a game with 24 points in 23 games.
Everyone loves the flashy scoring of Andrei Svechnikov, Dougie Hamilton, and Martin Necas, but Teravainen has been steady on the bored all year. It’s time to give this Finn the respect he deserves! Start him in fantasy and be rewarded each game.
Hamilton is always in the middle of the scoring. From power play to 5 on 5, Hamilton will always be there to snag a goal, and steal our hearts.
There was question last year during the postseason if Hamilton could keep up with the play of the opponents. We saw ups and downs last year but this season, there has yet to be a down for Dougie. There won’t be any time either.
Hamilton has formed into everything the coaches, players, and fans want out of a first line, All-Star blue liner. So don’t be afraid to claim that Hamilton will be playing in this year’s All-Star game, or to start him in fantasy.
Slavin sits on the first line defenceman pairing with Hamilton, and rightfully so. While Dougie has a knack for finding the net, nobody on this team has more sound fundamental defense skills than Slavin.
While Slavin doesn’t do as much scoring, paired with Dougie, he is an assisting machine. Slavin has an assist in two of the last three games.
With the Canes second line, the “money line,” All Slavin has to do is take a shot at net and Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and Teuvo Teravainen will make the rest happen. With this second line being as hot as they are, Slavin will see some action tonight offensively.
