The Carolina Hurricanes are on a hot streak, but so are the Blackhawks. The Canes will need to rely on the new guys again, to get the win in Chicago.

Winning is fun, and if winning in OT on the road is what it takes to continue this hot streak, let’s do it. Hurricanes fans, hang in there and take some deep breaths between periods, because there might be another OT again tonight.

The Canes have now won three in a row and two on the road and are red hot right now. Unfortunately, so is Chicago. The Canes have taken two straight road wins in over time, and are in for a battle tonight. As much anxiety as this might cause watchers at home, the boys will be back for us on Thursday so buckle up with us tonight!

The Canes still have the wonderful problem of too many good players. The only thing is now, everyone has seen the action. There is a sort of trend of who will be hot for which games, and it looks like the new guys are back up top and leading the scoring.

Joel Edmundson has been outstanding defensively all season. While his offensive production was non-existent, the former Stanley Cup Champion, has showed us in three games he can play a little offense. Actually a lot of offense, having 5 points in 3 games.

Edmundson is a must need pick up for tonight. While he has found his identity on the offense, the Canes still look streaky in terms of who is hot and for how long. Other than Dougie Hamilton and his best buddy, Andrei Svechnikov, it seems certain Canes have a swell couple of games then pass the baton for the next few.

Just imagine if every Canes player was hot every night. Every game would be 12-0. Unfortunately that can’t physically be the case. However, Edmundson is in the middle of hi shot streak, so start him, and get rewarded.

Martin Necas. Pick Analysis. . 88. player. 109. Season Report. F

The Rookie has been amazing this year. The authorities made the absolute right decision with Necas. At the same time, Necas has failed to disappoint.

Necas has proven to be skilled and have amazing hockey IQ. There have been several time where any normal rookie would drive the puck to the net and take a shot, but Necas stays patient and makes the smart pass.

If we are going to continue the talk about hot streaks, Necas has 4 total points in the Canes three game streak. Look for Necas to continue to impress and find the back of the net. Don’t be afraid of looking at some other potential forwards to start tonight as well, but Necas is a must.

Dzingel has also been a key factor in the Canes win streak as well. Ryan has tallied three points in the last three games. Only expect more of the same tonight.

Dzingel has been a quite blimp on the radar, but he has been there all season. He has 14 points in 20 games with few gaps of offense the whole season. Dzingel has been a wonderful addition to the Canes offense artillery, and it’s time to take notice.

All in all, the new guys are hot, therefore, the Canes are winning. Start these three while they are on their streaks and see rewards abundantly of over 8 fantasy points tonight.
