The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to stop the bleeding and finally get back into the win column. Here are three players that can help do the same with your fantasy team.
The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to make this losing games thing a thing of the past. They are going to be doing it against the team that started it, the Columbus Blue Jackets. The last time they met it was the start of a five game point streak for the Blue Jackets. While they did drop two of those games in OT, they are looking to extend that tonight.
The Carolina Hurricanes on the other hand have only won a single game, a 2-0 shutout of the LA Kings. They are finally closer to home’s time zone and have the extra rest they need. Honestly, tonight is going to be a night of reversing fortunes. It starts with ending a losing streak, a point streak, and perhaps a goalless streak as well.
Going back to 11 forwards and 7 D tonight, there is going to be a plethora of options to play around with to get the goals and assists, wins, or whatever you need to get the win this week in your league. But which three are going to more than likely help you get ahead tonight?
Petr Mrazek
If anyone can needs a good game, its Petr Mrazek. Tonight he is playing with something to prove. After being yanked from the game last week against the Ducks, he took the extra time off to mentally reset himself and get back into the zone. Tonight his grip on the starting goaltending spot is on the line. Tonight he has to prove that he still has it.
I expect a red hot Mrazek tonight, head bobs and all. Will he let one or two in? Maybe, but thats all thats getting past him tonight. He will be tested. He will face more than his fair share of shots. And he will get the save percentage he deserves. Tonight he is going to put this team on his back and lead them to victory. He just might do the same for you and your fantasy team.
Martin Necas
This third line is no joke. They have been the weight carrying goal scoring element of this team and probably one of the best stories of this season. Each of the three members of the team were not constant members of the roster last year. Only Necas really was a part of the team for all of a few games. So why do I have him over his teammates Ryan Dzingel or Erik Haula?
Its because they have both just come off injuries sustained over the last week. While both are healthy and ready to go for tonight, I expect them to be a little hesitant to fight close to the crease. That’s absolutely okay however, because they have young Martin Necas right there with them to go to those dirty areas of the ice and score.
You already know this line is going to score. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. So make sure Necas is in your lineup tonight and watch him rack up a goal and maybe an assist or two. You know you need them.
Nino Niederreiter
What is it going to take to get this man a goal? Well tonight, with the lines changed up a bit with Brock Mcginn departing the Jordan Staal line and heading down to the fourth line and Warren Foegele taking Teuvo Teravainen‘s place on the Aho line as Turbo joins Staal, a game like tonight just might.
Tonight, with a new teammate who is equally hungry for a goal, things just might change for Nino. This game tonight is all about the reversal of fortunes with the Carolina Hurricanes. Nino will get it in on it too, I can feel it in my bones.

But don’t just take my bones’ word for it, watch his play, he is finally shooting more at the net and his shots are getting closer and closer to getting through. At some point something will give. Its basic math. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take right? But what about the ones you do? It’s impossible to miss 100% of those. Even Haydn Fleury Finally netted one.
Either way, Nino is a MUST START. Why? Because the Carolina Hurricanes are STILL rolling with 11 forwards and 7 D tonight with the return of TVR. That means that a forward is going to be double slotted. With McGinn going down to the fourth line with his old friends Lucas Wallmark, first liners like Nino will pull double duty on the fourth line with them. Eat up that ATOI guys.
As with all things Fantasy, these choices are only suggestions. Every choice you make is a risk that may or may not pay off. That said these Carolina Hurricanes players are some of the better names for tonight’s game, but it shouldn’t mean you should sit Sebastian Aho or Dougie Hamilton.
