The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to stop the bleeding and avoid a losing streak with a win over the Ducks. Here are three players that can help do the same with your fantasy team.

The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to avoid something they have yet to do this season, lose back to back games. It’s going to be a tall order against John Gibson and the Ducks of Anaheim who have only lost two games and have been stingy, like really stingy, with how many points they allow their opponents.

That made today’s Daily Fantasy Sports predictions extra difficult. We are talking about a team that is only allowing an average of 1.86 Goals Against. If you take out the Boston where the Bruins racked up Five goals against them it becomes 1.33!!! They have had FOUR games in which they allowed their opponent only one goal.

Just how in the world am I supposed to work with that? They have their goaltending figured out, but the Kings game was supposed to be a barnburner not a shutout with a single goal actually getting past a goalie. So perhaps the Hurricanes have taken enough notes from the Bruins game and can repeat their successes. Here are the three guys that can help with that.

Petr Mrazek

If anyone can help keep the Carolina Hurricanes in this game it is Petr Mrazek. His last start was a shutout against the Kings. The start before that? A two GAA game against the New York Islanders. If this team wants to get out of this California road trip remaining at the top of the division, they will need his help keeping the net shut on their end of the ice.

Lets face it, his energy, power, explosiveness, and funky head nods ticks feed this team on the other end of the ice to do what they need to get the lead. You are ABSOLUTELY going to want to start him in your lineup tonight. No ifs ands or buts about it, Mrazek is in the zone. He hasn’t allowed a goal in four periods (*aggressively knocks on wood*) so why not add three more?

Either way, it’s time for Mrazek to earn his fifth win of the season.

Erik Haula

I think you, me and everyone else is just about sick of Haula puns. Truth of the Matter is, he continues to be a rock star for this Carolina Hurricanes team. He is also a fast riser in fantasy and is approaching over 90% active for Fantasy Leagues. There is a good reason why, the man currently leads the team in goals with six. He hasn’t had a multi goal game either.

That means that he has scored in 75% of games this season so far. He keeps this up and he will have a 61 goal season. Need I remind you he plays on the THIRD line? His linemates are magic and so is he. So what are you waiting for? Pick up Haula or demand he be traded to you. If you have him, play him tonight and collect up those juicy points.

Sebastian Aho

He is getting closer and closer folks. He collected a point against the Sharks in the loss. A legit point on an assist while the goalie was in net. He seems to elevate his play against better goalies because he seems to know that they require that elevation to even sniff a chance. This is it folks. Tonight’s the night. Tonight Aho gets a real non-empty net goal. I can feel it in my bones.

But don’t just take my bones’ word for it, watch his play, he is finally shooting more at the net and his shots are getting closer and closer to being just damn perfect shots. At some point he is going to shoot perfect unstoppable shots every single time and collect up multiple goals per game. We aren’t there yet but hot damn are we close.

Either way, Aho is a MUST START. Why? Because the Carolina Hurricanes are rolling with 11 forwards and 7 D tonight with the return of TVR. That means that a forward is going to be double slotted. My guess is that McGinn goes down to the fourth line with his old friends Warren Foegele and Lucas Wallmark as Aho pulls double duty on the second or third lines. Eat up that ATOI guys.

As with all things Fantasy, these choices are only suggestions. Every choice you make is a risk that may or may not pay off. That said these Carolina Hurricanes players are some of the better names for tonight’s game, but it shouldn’t mean you should sit Teuvo Teravainen or Dougie Hamilton.

Question for CC Readers: Which Carolina Hurricanes are you starting tonight?
