The Carolina Hurricanes have been relatively quiet since the Draft when it comes to offseason acquisitions.

That is to be expected when you look at a team like the Carolina Hurricanes. The Canes are a team in limbo right now. They finished in the bottom-five last season, and it does not look like they will move dramatically in either way this upcoming season.

Despite this being the case, Hurricanes general manager Ron Francis has still gone out and made some deals, and most of them have been small, yet affective.

Francis has made multiple trades that have improved many areas of the team, including both the defense and goaltending entering the 2015-2016 season.

The NHL Hall-of-Famer turned general manager has also had to bight the bullet and make some tough internal decisions in regards to some players under contract, along with restricted free agents and unrestricted free agents.

So with that in mind, let’s take a look at the major moves that the Carolina Hurricanes have made this offseason, along with the pro’s and con’s of them and give them a grade.
