It was Peanuts Night Saturday at the Crown Coliseum as the Rail Yard Dogs came back for the second of a two game series.

Fayetteville's special teams that pulled them through in overtime the night before would be called on early as Cam Cook and Grant "Mc" Loven would find their way to the penalty box separately early in the first. And Roanoke would take advantage of Loven in the box to make it 1-0 which is how the period would end.

The second period did not start much better for the Marksmen as a penalty shot would make it 2-0. Another Rail Yard Dog would make it 3-0 despite Roanoke being bit by the penalty bug late in the period.

Recent SPHL Player of the week Anthony "Lurkin" Yurkins sent the sock and undies flying to the ice as the Marksmen were celebrating their annual drive.

One more goal from Max Johnson would be all the Marksmen could manage as the Rail Yard Dogs tacked on another power play goal to close out the series tying game 4-2.

Fayetteville is 6-3-1 in their last 10 and remain atop the SPHL standings with 26 points. Individually, Marksmen Cam Cook (tied for 1st) and Simon Boyko (tied for 2nd) remain in the top 5 in points with 19 and 18 respectively. Boyko is 3rd in goals with 10 with Max Johnson and Tyler Korbyn tied for 4th with 8.

Coming up for the Marksmen is 4 game stretch that will see 3 games on the road in three different cities (Birmingham, Macon, and Roanoke) with a quick home game (Roanoke) in the middle. With 17 home games still left in the season, there is plenty of time to make it to Fayetteville for a game.
