The Hurricanes have gotten some very nice, very evil help from an unlikely source

Down 2-1 in the Stanley Cup Final, the Canes can use all the help they can get, including one of the most popular names in professional wrestling.

The Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights are locked into a bitter battle for the Stanley Cup. Through three games, we've been treated to some of the most intense and incredible hockey games we could've asked for. For all of its pageantry, the Canes find themselves on the wrong side of the series. However, they might've gotten a little help from a man whose good side you want to be on.

If you aren't a professional wrestling fan, you might not know who Danhausen is. A long-time force on the independent wrestling scene, Danhausen signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) earlier this year and is already among their most popular performers. The "Very Nice, Very Evil" wrestler is famous for "cursing" his opponents, and it is starting to leak into the sports world.

One of the biggest side stories of the NBA Playoffs surrounds the New York Knicks, who are two wins away from capturing the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy against the San Antonio Spurs. Early in the playoffs, Danhausen cursed the Knicks, leading them to fall into a 2-1 hole against the Hawks. He soon uncursed them, and they've won 13 games in a row since.

How does this pertain to the Carolina Hurricanes? I'm very glad you asked. Danhausen is apparently on the Canes' side. At least, that's according to a video that is circulating around social media. He has cursed the Golden Knights, which if the Knicks' run is any indication, should be good news for Hurricanes over the next few games.

Even if you think the Canes can still win this series on their own, it's nice to have another person throwing their support onto the bandwagon, even if we're at the end of the journey. To the person who paid "human monies" to Danhausen for this message of support, your effort must be applauded. What this really means is that Danhausen needs to be at the Lenovo Center for Game 5.
