Frederik Andersen remains the best goalie this postseason

Through two rounds, Frederik Andersen is having one of the most remarkable goalie performances in franchise history. His miniscule 1.36 GAA and .937 save percentage are both tops in the league and are challenging for the best numbers we've ever seen from a goalie in a Canes sweater. In five games against the Capitals, Andersen allowed just six goals, conceding two or fewer in each start.

During the first two games of the series, Andersen and Capitals' netminder Logan Thompson went save-for-save. They looked simply unbeatable. Andersen earned separation with his shutout victory in Game 3, while Thompson started to become leaky. Those leaks eventually burst as the Canes picked on him from sharp angles.

Andersen deserves a spot in the Conn Smythe conversation with his work against New Jersey and Washington. One might even argue he should be atop the list, ahead of Dallas' Mikko Rantanen with how dominant he's been. He's definitely the Canes' MVP after ten games, though there's another guy challenging him for that crown.
