The Carolina Hurricanes week just got less busy with the NHL officially postponing Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Florida was hit with a devastating hurricane yesterday that affected the Tampa Bay area greatly. The football and baseball stadiums had wind and water damage, while it is unknown if the Lightning's arena was damaged.

Tomorrow is the opening of the season for the Canes as they host the Lightning at Lenovo Center. The only other scheduled game for the week was Saturday. The Canes will host the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.

Carolina will head on the road to play Pittsburgh and St. Louis next week after the Devils come to town. The Devils began the NHL season in Prague for the Global Series against the Buffalo Sabres. New Jersey grabbed two victories from the trip and play their home opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs this evening.

Earlier this week, Tampa Bay arrived early in Raleigh to get ahead of hurricane Milton and make sure tomorrow's game will be paid.
