Letoya Jackson

Letoya is a FanSided contributing writer covering the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes. A loyal fan of the Hartford Whalers growing up, she had the fortunate opportunity to work for the Richmond Renegades of the ECHL when they were a farm club for the Hurricanes after their initial move to North Carolina. During that time, she had editorial articles published in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University to pursue a career in sports journalism, and though life had other plans, she never stopped writing, loving hockey, or the Hurricanes. During those years, she also played ice hockey for the local women's league, as a forward first, then a goaltender (mentored by Tripp Tracy), was an active member of the Renegades Booster Club, and designed the booster club's first official website. Currently a mother of two boys, Letoya enjoys writing, listening to music, and being creative when she is not cheering for her Hurricanes.
