Kids Canes: Predictions For 2023-24 Carolina Hurricanes Season

It is September Kids Canes Reader! You know what that means? IT IS HOCKEY SEASON! Remember we talked in our last article that the Hurricanes start their preseason games this month! To get ready for the 2023-24 season, here are a few PREDICTIONS for the season.

But wait a second! Do you know what a PREDICTION  is?

When you make a PREDICTION, you are saying “I think this will happen.”

You PREDICT things before they happen. Sometimes you are right. Sometimes you are wrong.

Either way, PREDICTIONS are fun to make. It gives you something to look forward to!

First, I PREDICT that the Carolina Hurricanes will go to the Stanley Cup Finals. This will be very hard, but I think it will happen this season.

Last year the Canes went to the Conference Finals! Just one step away from the Stanley Cup Finals.

Next on my list of PREDICTIONS. I think Seth “Nap Time” Jarvis will have a great season. Last year, he scored 19 goals, and had 30 assists. That is a lot of both. But I think he will do better this coming year.

This will be his third season with the Carolina Hurricanes, and I predict it will be his best. Do you think he scores at least 20 goals and has 35 assists? I think so!

We will have to wait and see.

My final PREDICTION is that Pyotr “PK” Kochetkov will have at least 6 shutouts! “PK” is one of three Carolina Hurricanes to play goalie and he is one of my favorite all time players. He is so much fun to watch.

During the 2023-24 season “PK” had 4 shutouts but this year, I think he will have 6. That is just 2 more!

Will any of my PREDICTIONS come true? Who knows! We will just have to see what happens, but if they do, I will be sure to let you know!

We learned what PREDICTIONS are! A PREDICTION is when you say “I think this will happen” It is fun to make PREDICTIONS just to see what might happen and pay close attention.
