The NHL Stadium Series is just weeks away and the anticipation of the uniform reveal is now over. The NHL has finally revealed the jerseys that will be worn on February 18th.

The worst kept secret was confirmed as the Canes leaked version of the jersey was indeed the jersey that will be worn outdoors.

The dominantly black jersey will feature the primary Canes logo in red and black. The numbers will be red and black on the sleeves. The giant numbers on the sleeves always bothers me.

Overall the Canes jersey is fitting with their style and more simplistic than I would have gone for given this opportunity.

Not to mention the reverse retro was not very creative although I thought it was sharp.

The Capitals went a little more creative with the white jersey and the “W” with the eagle spread across the whole front of the jersey.

This jersey reminds me a little of the Colorado Avalanche Stadium Series jersey where they did not have a primary logo but the giant “A” with the mountains below.

The traditional logo on the front of the jersey or slanted lettering is more my style.

I feel like this is an opportunity to get really creative and use any logo in the franchise history but then decide to just go simple or off trend.

I do admit that some of the Hurricanes’ gear for the Stadium Series does look sharp, mixing the logo in black and red.  A hat before a jersey is seen in my future.

So let’s open it up and see what the fans think on both sides.
