Ahead of tonight’s matchup against the New Jersey Devils, the Carolina Hurricanes were hoping for the return of a healthy Stefan Noesen.
Noesen was injured early in the game against the New York Rangers a week ago at MSG.
Noesen suffered the famous lower body injury title after the contest against New York.
The morning skate featured Noesen skating with the team and coach, Rod Brind’Amour indicated that a return tonight was possible for the 29-year-old forward.
It appears to be a game-time decision per Brind’Amour.
Since the debut of off-season acquisition, Max Pacioretty, everyone is anxious to see what the power play will look like a full throttle.
The Texas native has excelled on the power play this season with 6 goals and 10 points.
The former first-round draft choice of the Ottawa Senators has thrived in Raleigh and has 20 points in 37 games. He is just 7 points shy of matching his career-best season with tonight’s opponent, the New Jersey Devils.
Whether Noesen plays tonight or not, the busy schedule ahead this week for the Canes will give him the opportunity to fit back into the lineup shortly.
Netminder, Frederik Andersen appears to be very close to returning to game action as well.
