Carolina will get a chance to end the series tonight as they go to TD Garden to play in game six of this best-of-seven series against the Boston Bruins tonight. A win for the Hurricanes will see them through to the second round. A loss will force game seven. There’s no pressure on the Carolina Hurricanes in this one. Carolina faces no pressure in this game, they can win this game with no pressure.

Carolina knows that they need to keep this game at even strength. If the Hurricanes can keep this game at five against five, the Carolina Hurricanes will win this game. Boston does not have the forward strength to keep up with Carolina so forcing them to go man to man across the ice with one of the deepest forward cores in the sport will test them. If Boston can keep up, good for them. This gives the Canes the best shot at winning.

We know that Antti Raanta will go again tonight. Father Finn has been incredible for the Hurricanes this season with the netminder standing on his head in the absence of the Canes’ first choice netminder. Raanta has been outright outstanding for the Hurricanes in the absence of their great Dane. Raanta will have to continue to be as good as he has been if he’s going to want to play in the second round, keep doing this.

Carolina needs to continue to maintain its discipline. They’re going to prove themselves the better team if they play this game at five on five. They know they’re going to be able to outscore the Bruins in this regard as the Bruins have six even-strength goals in the playoffs, the third-worst among the NHL’s playoff participants. Carolina can continue to play at their best, and they’ll win this series.
