The Carolina Hurricanes will face off against the Boston Bruins in game 1 on Monday night. Who should be in the net when the puck drops?

The Hurricanes are faced with goaltending controversy heading into the postseason. With Frederik Andersen out for the next few days at a minimum. The decision on Brind’Amour’s hands whether to start Antti Raanta or Pytor Kochetov in games 1 and 2 against the Hurricanes postseason boogeyman is an important one.

During the last three postseason appearances for the Hurricanes, they bounced around their starting goaltenders. Raanta and Kochetkov are both capable of coming in and winning a game or two, but the Hurricanes will probably need Andersen healthy if they want to make a deep run.

Depending on what happens up until Andersen is ready to play, Brind’Amour could stick with Raanta or Kochetkov if one of them is rolling. But at the end of the day, a healthy Andersen will likely get the net full-time when push comes to shove.

But between Raanta and Kochetkov, who should start to open the Hurricanes cup push?
