Tonight, the Carolina Hurricanes continue their west coast road trip as they have a stop in Orange County to take on the Anaheim Ducks. Carolina is looking to move to 13-2 on the year, and build their lead at the top of the division. Carolina will be coming up against one of the hottest teams in the NHL as they take on the team that took its name from a movie franchise.

Anaheim has won eight on the bounce, and hit 1000 wins as an organization in their 3-2 OT win over the Washington Capitals. Going for win number nine, tonight is a strong test for the Ducks. This Carolina Hurricanes team will be by far the toughest test of their winning streak. If the Ducks want to make it to cloud nine, they need to overcome one of the best teams in the NHL.

With Carolina getting healthier by the day, we know that there’s a lot to play for in both locker rooms. Both teams are looking to pull away at the top of their respective divisions. Now, there’s going to be a loser in this game. One team will take two points away and the other will not, but this is a game that promises to be an absolute gem.

After a 4-2 win in Vegas, Carolina starts the California gauntlet with Anaheim. This is a game that promises to be exciting, and fans will be treated to a great game between a couple of teams that know how to put the puck in the net. Carolina has the edge on paper, but Anaheim is a team of kids with a great goalie, this could be 6-5 or 1-0 in the shootout. I would not be shocked at either result.
