Start on time

This game has an unusual starting time. With puck drop being at 8:30 PM EST, the Carolina Hurricanes won’t have very long to get into the swing of things with their gameday routine. Now, they need to find a way to win regardless of their broken routines. It’s going to be a case of starting on time and trying to put the game out of reach early.

Now that the Canes haven’t had a simple 7 PM EST puck drop with a day of rest before and after since the game against the Maple Leafs, it’s going to be a familiar situation. With the Carolina Hurricanes again being thrown through the wringer with their start time, at least they will have had time to accommodate getting used to the weird timings.

If the Carolina Hurricanes start early and on time, with goals early and often, then this game could be out of sight early. However, the Canes could also be way out of it if they do not start off on the right foot. It’s a very difficult task to build an early lead in this league, but it would mean so much more against someone like Chicago.

That is it for this one, folks! The Carolina Hurricanes and Chicago Blackhawks will drop the puck at 8:30 PM EST on Bally Sports South. If you cannot join Tripp Tracy and Mike Maniscalco for coverage of the game, then we will be live-tweeting the game out over at Cardiac Cane’s Twitter account. Until then, thank you for reading, and LET’S GO CANES!
