The Carolina Hurricanes are on a three game win streak and look to keep rolling in DC. Here’s how to place your bets and lineups tonight.

If the Carolina Hurricanes can play the same way they did the last two games they won’t lose another game this season. Back to back shut outs, one by each goalie, solid defense and high scoring offense have been instrumental in the last two wins.

But all good aside, the Caps always give the Canes some trouble, especially at home. So, how do the Canes stop them and continue the win streak? Start hot early and stay hot.

Let’s dive in to the guys that are rolling and will roll again tonight against a very hot Ilya Samsonov.

Pick Analysis. F. Snubbed. Season Report. Teuvo Teravainen. 86. player. 109

It was very unfortunate and unjust that our boy Teuvo Teravainen was snubbed from the All-Star last man in vote. Having the highest scoring of anyone on the metro ballot must mean nothing.

Any way, what poetic justice for Teuvo to have 2+ points tonight and TJ Oshie to have none? This is a very possible feat, especially after coming off of a 2 point game. Before that, Teuvo took off three games from scoring. Sources say this was to save it for tonight, but we will have to wait and see for that.

Season Report. F. 13. player. 109. Pick Analysis. DC Public Enemy #1. Warren Foegele

RALEIGH, NC – JANUARY 7: Warren Foegele #13 of the Carolina Hurricanes scores a goal and celebrates during an NHL game against the Philadelphia Flyers on January 7, 2020 at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. (Photo by Gregg Forwerck/NHLI via Getty Images)

In case you need a reminder, Warren Foegele is a first-liner in the NHL!!! 6 points in the last 7 games seems good. Is that good??

For whatever reason, Washington can never figure out Foegele, and hey, that is totally ok! Foegele is going to hustle, forecheck and shoot all night. They will fall. He loves to play this game and we love him to play against the caps.

In all reality, rivalry aside, Foegele has been hot and deserves a spot in your lineup tonight, so make it happen.

Season Report. Pick Analysis. Sebastian Aho. 20. 109. F. Fishy. player

RALEIGH, NC – JANUARY 11: Sebastian Aho #20 of the Carolina Hurricanes skates for position during an NHL game against the Los Angeles Kings on January 11, 2020 at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. (Photo by Gregg Forwerck/NHLI via Getty Images)

The trouble with winning streaks in any profession is becoming complacent. Sebastian Aho is never complacent. He could have a hat trick and be up 8-0 and he still is going to go all out and try to score. Not out of poor sportsmanship, but out of his competitive nature.

Yes, Aho has been on and off with his scoring, and it seems this will be his off game, but Aho knows this is a huge game and will rise to the occasion.

Aho had 5 points in the 7-game home stand, and he will build on that tonight. Especially with Teuvo heating up at the right time. These best buddies feed off of each other so expect their line to go off.

The Carolina Hurricanes have a chance to win the regular season series for the first time in years tonight against arch rival Washington Capitals. This will be a good one, folks, and the Canes will come away with the win. We hate to see the Caps get any kind of point tonight but the result will come in OT, 4-3.
