The Carolina Hurricanes are going into 2020 with 50 points in the bank and the first Wild Card spot. However there are still several unanswered questions.

December was a streaky month. After going into with a loss, the Carolina Hurricanes found themselves on a seven game point streak that where they went 6-0-1 including a 4-0-1 stint on the road. Then they took a dive and lost the next three games. They finally finished the month on a positive note however with two wins so far, hoping to build a longer streak going into next year.

Last month we had several questions left over. Some where even from the month before that. This month is no different. So which questions did we find answers to and which have moved on to this month unanswered?

Well, for one, it seems that Petr Mrazek is the king at home and james Reimer is the king of the road. That said, Mrazek has not lost his grip on the starting position for the Carolina Hurricanes as he continues to help the Hurricanes win game after game.

The Bill Peters news seems to have dissipated and his ghost has left the building and the league at this point. However the changes from the charges he faced will forever make the league a better place. Good riddance to him.

The team has not made any moves for another forward. The question right now is if they even need to go after one. But there is still another two months before that ship, and this question has sailed. That means plenty of time for ridiculous trade rumors that fuel the engine that is the National Hockey League.

So now that we have answered a few of the questions from last month. What questions do we have in store for this one? Lets find out.
