When the Carolina Hurricanes go on the road, don’t let that get you down. One of the best events the franchise has might be coming near you, the Canes Watch Party Tour.

Going to a playoff game, Summerfest, Caniac Carnival, Canes Alumni Game, these and so many other events from the past and the future belong on every Carolina Hurricanes fans “must do list.” But what if you can’t make it to Raleigh for all these events, then the Canes Watch Party (formerly known as the Cool Bars Tour) is perfect for you.

The Canes Watch Party is the only Carolina Hurricanes event that travels around the state of North Carolina to bring the joy of watching a Hurricanes game together with a bunch of jerks. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of the watch parties and it just gets better every year.

The parties have been hosted by various Carolina Ale Houses’ in different parts of NC. 10 dates, 10 locations, and 10 chances to watch the Hurricanes on the road, yet it still feels like a home game.

The storm squad and  Stormy bring the party with autographed merchandise, raffles, maybe some special appearances, and so much more. Plus, Carolina Ale House always does a great job with great food, special deals, and having almost every TV in the restaurant turned on to John Forslund, Tripp Tracy, and the rest of the Fox Sports Carolina crew.

I personally have attended several of these events, including last year at the Cary party where the Hurricanes won a wild OT game over the Florida Panthers. If you actually watch the Canes Watch Party commercials, I actually appear in them a couple of times.

At the time of writing this article, the next stop is at the Cary location on December 3rd vs the Boston Bruins. Get there early or have a friend save you a seat cause I guarantee that seats will be full by the 7 pm puck drop.
