Jordan Staal was in beast mode at the end of the season and during the playoffs. This year’s captain is an obvious shoe-in for Gryffindor.  Like a true Gryffindor, he showed the passion he has for this Carolina Hurricanes team. His play in game seven against the Washington Capitals pushed the team to knock off the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Brock McGinn, another Weasley, the Sorting hat knows exactly what to do with you! With all joking aside, McGinn shows us why he is a Gryffindor. Think about all the times he stood up for his fellow teammates, and who can forget the biggest goal of his career in Game 7 against the Washington Capitals last season.

Sebastian Aho – I remember watching one game in a season past, and I noticed how much he hates to lose. Aho puts pride in this team, he wants nothing more than to push them for many years of playoffs and, hopefully, more than a few championships.

Trevor van Riemsdyk – there is a part of me that believes the Carolina Hurricanes would not have been swept in the Eastern Conference Finals last season if Trevor was not injured.

New addition to the team, Ryan Dzingel is also one of my picks to be in Gryffindor for Hogwarts this year for the Carolina Hurricanes. The day he landed in Raleigh for the very first time as a Hurricane, he met with Billy, got a workout in, and immediately showed pride in his new team and new home. Now, to highlight the Bunch of Jerks who would be in Slytherin.
