Day Four

As expected, day four of the Hurricanes training camp saw more of the same coming out of both sessions.

After all, they say practice makes perfect right?

So far, the top line combinations, so far have stayed the same. They have been;

As previously stated, these are not set in stone and could change at any time. But they do look promising. Depending on how the first two pre-season games against Tampa go, I personally don’t see them changing much right now. But i wouldn’t be surprised if they look a bit different come October 3rd.

Haydn Fluery was in a playful mood. I caught him toss a puck a puck at the glass at a fan that was on their phone. When I mentioned it to him after practice, all he could do was laugh. It is nice to see that even though he’s going to try to be more intense on the ice this year, he’s not going to stop being himself.

I spoke with the recently drafted Ryan Suzuki about his summer and how he is liking North Carolina so far. He said that he had a good summer and it’s really hot here. I jokingly told him that he better get used to it because it’s going to be hot until like the middle of November.

I followed up with Tuevo Teravinen about that spill he took into the boards on day three. He said he’s doing fine and there’s nothing to worry about.

With back to back games against Tampa Bay on Tuesday and Wednesday, we will really be able to see how what kind of progress the team has made over these first four days of training camp. We will also be able to tell what kind of changes will need to be made lineup wise.
