5. Charlotte Eliminates Providence

In a series that looked close at first after the Charlotte Checkers took one game and the Providence Bruins took one game, the Checkers would go on to win the next two.

With Game 4, the Bruins on the brink of elimination, the Checkers didn’t allow the Bruins to even have a push back. Right off the bat, Jacob Pritchard scores to put the Checkers on top.

Things even looked more certain when Morgan Geekie and Andrew Poturalski potted in two more goals for the Checkers to bring the score to 3-0.

When the Bruins finally got on the board, it was too late, Poturalski would put the dagger into the empty net, as the fans in Bojangles Coliseum rose to their feet, knowing it was basically guaranteed their team was moving onto the second round.
