Carolina Hurricanes: Which Players are which Avengers?

The Carolina Hurricanes have played like superheroes this post season. What if they really were superheroes? What if they were members of the Avengers?

So far in the playoffs the Carolina Hurricanes have taken down the Stanley Cup Champions, Washington Capitals, and swept the New York Islanders to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals. They have survived a double overtime game seven after being in the hole 3-2 and going into a game six with their backs to the wall.

These feats are almost super-heroic. Like the heroes of Marvel’s cinematic universe. These Carolina Hurricanes seemed to be a team of destiny. While this season did not end inevitably with a cup and their magical playoff run crumbled to dust at the snap of a finger from their evil Villain Boston it feels that they will be coming back year after year.

Who were the heroes that will step up against these odds? Who helped them finish off the Islanders and Capitals? Who will stepped up against the Bruins with their high powered offense. And if they make the playoffs next season, who will be the heroes that help bring Lord Stanley’s Cup back home to Raleigh?

Whatever it takes. It has been the cry of the Avengers in the latest movie as they attempt to undo the damage created by Thanos. It has also been the Cry of the Carolina Hurricanes as they barged, smashed, and blasted their way into and through the playoffs.
