3) Teuvo Teravainen

Teuvo Teravainen showed every Caniac why he is so important to the Carolina Offense. His seven goals where most by the Canes this postseason, and these goals where timely. His 400+ shifts where second by a Carolina Forward, and proved Brind’Amour’s reliance on his invaluable postseason experience.

Many quickly forget that Teuvo is one of only four Hurricanes who have lifted the Stanley Cup, and this previous achievement had an impact on his ability to affect his game. He was smooth with the puck, he made good decisions nearly every shift, and he was clearly one of the most skilled men on the ice night in and night out for this playoff run.

What is important to note is how he seemed to be involved in the shifts that where the most important. When Aho or Nino Niederreiter would fade, or they were simply unable to get anything going, Teravainen would always seem to be the player that was making positive plays happen. This ability to control the offensive zone was vital this postseason, and will be in the future.

The Finnish Forward is one of the two most productive players on this roster, and these playoffs cemented the notion that he could replicate that sort of dominance in the midst of a playoff atmosphere.
