1. Strike Early

In Game 1, the Bruins struck first and won the game. In Game 2, the Bruins struck first and won the game. In Game 3, the Bruins struck first and won the game. That sounds like a trend and it’s a similar trend to the first round with the Washington Capitals. The Hurricanes should look to score first, to get the coincidental luck on their side.

From making save after save, Tuukka Rask’s confidence would get damaged early on and it would take away what he builds on. The more saves he made, the better he got, and if the Hurricanes can squeak an early one in on Rask, it’ll be on his head all night.

The Hurricanes had their chances in Game 3 and they’ll need to bring the same energy into Game 4. Rask will try to play his best game, to attempt to finish this series for his team and the Hurricanes will need to ruin that party.

Any goaltender can be a beast in net, but it gets real difficult when the goaltender cannot even see what is coming at him. The Hurricanes need to screen Rask when their back-end is buzzing and ready to take a shot. If the Hurricanes cannot score first, they need to at least score early.
