The Top Performers: 1-3
Teuvo Teravainen has also recorded a career season this year, falling just short of Sebastian Aho with 76 points over the course of his 82 games played. Teravainen has been absolutely lethal alongside Sebastian Aho, Justin Williams, and Andrei Svechnikov this season.
Teravainen turned in a 64 point performance last season, with a +/- rating of just 8. He has made massive improvements in both playmaking and scoring this season, and will be a huge asset going into the playoffs.
Despite not scoring a goal in his final 14 games of the season, Sebastian Aho has still managed to turn in, on average, just north of a point-per-game performance this season. Sebastian Aho has had a career season, surpassing his previous stats with the Hurricanes by leaps and bounds.
Aho began the year by setting a franchise record of scoring a point in 12 straight games to start the season, and tied the current NHL record for opening a season with an assist in 12 straight games.
Petr Mrazek has been absolutely stellar since the beginning of 2019. Mrazek really found his stride in mid-February, putting together a record of 11-2-0, whilst boasting a 1.68 GAA, and a .944% save percentage in his 13 remaining starts in the season.
Mrazek has made an exorbitant amount of clutch saves, namely the diving poke check in the overtime period against the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 19th that pushed the game into a shootout. Mrazek proceeded to blank Pittsburgh’s best scorers and delivered the Hurricanes to a victory that same night.
