With Fantasy Playoffs Ramping up perhaps there is a forgotten Cane or two available to add. Today we take a brief look at three Carolina Hurricanes that may be worth adding to your Fantasy Hockey lineup.

It is getting to the time where Fantasy Hockey playoffs are ramping up and GMs may be looking for that hidden gem to provide their team a spark. I am going to focus on players that are likely available through a quick waiver add. The Carolina Hurricanes players I am going to overview are Andrei Svechnikov, Jordan Staal, and Petr Mrazek.

1. Andrei Svechnikov

The rookie forward is ranked 36th in his position and is available in almost 30% of the ESPN leagues. He has a current three-game point streak – registering a goal in his last two games along with Five goals in his last Seven. Svech’s scoring ability is really starting to shine – showing off his sniping abilities as of late. With hopes of him continuing this streak and getting some decent time on the PowerPlay, he would be worth an add in leagues where he is available as the Carolina Hurricanes will look to him for scoring down the pivotal stretch of the regular season.

2. Jordan Staal

Next up we have Jordan Staal. Staal’s game has really picked up as he seems to be finding his stride, centering a line that boasts Teuvo Teravianen and aforementioned Svechnikov. He is also riding a 3 game point streak, mustering 2 goals and 3 assists in that time. Staal has really been finding chemistry with his line-mates as of late and has been noticeably playing with tons of speed and passion. I would think his play only continues to progress as he continues to produce  a decent amount of points in the remaining games.  He could be a steal in your fantasy leagues and likely an easy find as he is available in almost 80% of ESPN leagues.

3. Petr Mrazek

For those of you that are looking to add some goalie depth to your roster, look no further than Petr Mrazek. His play of late has been nothing short of stellar. The month of March has seen Mrazek go 5-1-0,  mustering up a .945 save percentage along with a shutout. Mrazek is one of the top goalies in the league currently and is absolutely worth a pickup on the waiver wire. Mrazek seems to shine in the big situations and with every game being very important for the Canes from here on out . I fully expect continued big performances from Petr. He should also be a very easy pickup as he is available in almost 91% of ESPN leagues.

Give these Carolina Hurricanes players some serious thought when you head to the waiver wire this week. They could be the key to a deeper run in the playoffs and a key to your championship win!
