The Carolina Hurricanes look to win their second game in a row tonight as they take on the Montreal Canadians. The Hurricanes have been known to have sucess in Montreal in the last couple of years and look to continue it tonight. The Hurricanes have lost both games against the Canadians this season losing 4-3 in a shootout and 5-1 before Christmas. The Canadians have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL in March and has moved from out of the playoffs into 6th place with 6 games remaining. Tonight marks Cam [...]

The Carolina Hurricanes finish off the season series with the Atlanta Thrashers tonight as the look to continue the streak of the away team winning. So far this season the Hurricanes and Thrasher have lost every home game this season against one another. The other big thing is Cam Ward will be back between the pipes tonight in order to test his back and if he will need surgery in the off-season. Hope you have a good radio to use tonight as because of Versus blackout rule the game will not be on TV anywhere, not even [...]

Well we have reached single digits in games remaining and the Hurricanes are pretty much out of the playoff picture.  Tonight they will look for a mini accomplishment against the Washington Capitals.  If the Hurricanes win tonight in regulation they will have won the season series with the top two team in the Eastern Conference.  Even though it is not as good as making the playoffs, its quite an accomplishment for any team to say you beat Pittsburgh 3 games out of 4 and split with the Washington Capitals while taking more points.  The Hurricanes are the only [...]

Hurricanes Look To Finish Strong, Carolina vs. Tampa Preview

AUTHOR: Wesley | IN: Hurricanes | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Carolina Hurricanes once again lost in a critical game on Sunday afternoon to the Buffalo Sabres. The Hurricanes never really seemed to be in it and seem to be a team that can not play in the pressure game. The Hurricanes were only 6 points back before losing to the Sabres, but not sit 8 points back with 10 games remaining in the season. As much as I would like to keep hope alive the Buffalo game was probably the second nail in the coffin for the Hurricanes season. Any combination of 13 points lost [...]

The Carolina Hurricanes look to win their last game at Mellon Arena. The Hurricanes are coming off a great win over the leagues best on Thursday night and look to beat the second team in the Eastern Conference this afternoon. It was back in December when the Hurricanes got their first road win of the season in Pittsburgh after play an attacking game. If the Hurricanes are going to win they are going to have to play better than they did against Pittsburgh last week in the 4-3 OT win in which they were doubled [...]

AUTHOR: Wesley | IN: Hurricanes | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Carolina Hurricanes look for their 9th straight home win tonight against the Phoenix Coyotes. The Coyotes may be the story of the NHL season as they will likely make the playoffs this season amidst the franchise being in shambles. The Hurricanes will be without Brandon Sutter tonight who will be be replaced by last weeks AHL player of the week Jerome Samson. This should be a good. Tune in to FS Carolinas at 7pm
Prediction: PHX 2 CAR 4

Its Reunion Wednesday in our Nations Capital

AUTHOR: Wesley | IN: Hurricanes | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Carolina Hurricanes look upon one of the hardest back to back sets the league could have dealt them.  Tonight they will play in Washinton before coming home to play Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow night.  The Hurricanes see a couple familiar faces tonight as it will be their first game against Joe Corvo and Scott Walker, who had an emotional sendoff from Carolina.  The Washington Capitals have not lost a game at home in regulation since playing the Carolina Hurricanes on December 28, 2010.  The Hurricanes are looking for their 9th win in their last 10 games [...]
