Recently on NHL Tonight, the top 50 players were ranked. And Carolina Hurricanes superstar center, Sebastian Aho was among this elite group of hockey players.
A few weeks back on NHL Network’s ‘NHL Tonight’ segment, Sebastian Aho was ranked 14th among the top 20 centers in the league. Well, a couple nights back, the culmination of off-season player rankings came to a head with the top 50 players, and the Carolina Hurricanes star player was among this elite group.
Now we all know what a talented player Sebastian Aho is, and it’s nice to see the rest of the hockey world take notice at just how talented of a player he is. Aho ranked 34th out of the top 50 players in the NHL.
Like I’ve said in the past, Montreal wouldn’t have sent him that offer sheet for no reason. And, more importantly, the Hurricanes wouldn’t have matched said offer sheet if they knew he wasn’t an elite player. Tom Dundon, Don Waddell, and the Carolina Hurricanes organization know what a talented young player they have, and they, along with everyone else, are seeing him get better and better with every passing season.
In past articles, I’ve covered in detail Aho’s rise over his time spent in the NHL. Last season was his best yet, capped off with a deep playoff run that caught the majority of the hockey world by surprise. That exponential rise is sure to continue this season.
With the 2019-2020 NHL season just around the corner, we will get to see Sebastian Aho and the rest of the Jerks back on the ice. They are sure to be a great group to watch. Hopefully, this time next year Aho will have cracked the top 30 or higher, and guys like Andrei Svechnikov and Teuvo Teravainen are joining him on these kinds of lists.
Question for CC readers: Where do you think Aho will be ranked next year?
