<p>The setting was in graduate school. I was in an Organizational Change course with a class of 90% males. The professor was lecturing on how people resist even good change. He gave example of a husband rebelling against his new slimmer, attention-getting wife after a drastic makeover. To which I say, “Yes! My husband still puts his meat in front of my face and expects me to eat it!” I was referring to the fact I was a vegetarian. The information prior to my statement would have been nice. I can still hear the jaws drop on the hard floor.</p>
