The Ohio native grew up cheering for OSU, Detroit Red Wings, ever-disappointing Cleveland Browns, and drooling over former Indians right fielder, Manny Ramirez. She will not comment on the Cavs…

The Bowling Green State University graduate moved to Raleigh in 2006 to watch the Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup. The charismatic Canes stole her Cleveland heart…especially one Jeff Skinner.

Sally M. Brown: Staff Writer

A North Carolina native and graduate of NC State University, Sally practically grew up in Carter Finley Stadium cheering on her beloved Wolfpack. Her original passion was football but they agreed to have an open relationship and see other sports. That is when she was swept off her feet into a torrid affair with hockey and they have no plans to end their relationship anytime soon.

She loathes glassbangers and has not yet given up hope that anyone can become a hockey fan if you spend enough time beating them into submission. Erik Cole, who has now crushed her soul, is her favorite player. She firmly believes that Chris Pronger is an instrument of the devil.

Dan MacLachlan: Staff Writer

Originally born a yankee in Connecticut, Dan moved with his family to Raleigh, NC when he was 9 years old. It didn’t take long for the then Hartford Whalers to followsuit and Dan quickly fell in love with the game of hockey and, more specifically,the Carolina Hurricanes. His extended family and very good friends in the northeast still give him grief and ask him all the time how their Whalers are doing, only for him to reply, “They still have more Stanley Cups than you do.”

Currently, he lives in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina after graduating from UNCW with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. During the fall through early summer, he frequently makes the trek on I-40 to visit his 3rd home, the RBC Center. His “Hurricanes Room” is a staple in his home, filled with pucks, jerseys, signed pictures and newspapers.  A few pet peeves of his includes bad drivers, girls who end every sentence as if it’s aquestion and unknowledgeable hockey fans who talk trash.
