NHL News: Brad Marchand Shares Feelings of "Hate" towards Tomas Plekanec

The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens make up one of the biggest rivalries in the NHL, and Bruins forward Brad Marchand added some fuel to the fire when he made some interesting remarks about Habs center Tomas Plekanec.

Brad Marchand shared his feelings about Tomas Plekanec to Joe Haggerty of CCSNE when asked which NHL player irritates him the most.

“There are a few guys out there that really irritate,” said Marchand, who it should be noted has authored his own adventures in embellishment over the years. “Tomas Plekanec from Montreal…I hate him. I can’t stand him. No, I probably shouldn’t say that. I dislike him very much. Now somebody is going to call and get mad at me tomorrow.”

Both Tomas Plekanec and Brad Marchand have a rich history of embellishment throughout the years, and that likely contributed to the quote above.

Brad Marchand and Tomas Plekanec aren’t the only two players that share a strong dislike between the Bruins and Habs. Bruins winger Milan Lucic made a bold move by reportedly telling Dale Weise of the Canadiens “I’m going to [expletive] kill you next year” in the handshake line following Montreal’s 4-3 series win in the 2014 Eastern conference Semi-Finals.

The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins don’t square off in the 2014-2015 season until November 13 in Montreal, Quebec.
