NHL Trade Rumors: Winnipeg Jets to Trade Evander Kane

Evander Kane is a player that has been in the middle of trade rumors for years now with the Winnipeg Jets, but are we finally closing in on a move that sends the 22-year-old forward out of Manitoba?

When asked if he wanted to play for the Winnipeg Jets on a radio interview, Evander Kane gave an interesting answer.

“Well, I think I’m a Winnipeg Jet right now, and, you know, there’s been speculation and rumors the three years since I got there. So, you know, we’ll see what happens and we’ll carry on as if I’m a Winnipeg Jet.”

Evander Kane went on to say that he will continue to train hard for the upcoming season, regardless of who he plays for.

Teams rumored to have interest in Evander Kane include the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, and New York Rangers.

Evander Kane’s attitude and personality have been questioned highly over the years, but his talent on the ice is very impressive.

Since breaking into the NHL in 2009, Evander Kane has tallied 99 goals and 200 points in 324 games. Those stats are very nice, but he has yet to reach that next, star level of play that was expected of him when he was drafted 4th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Evander Kane comes with risks, but in the right situation, the Vancouver, British Columbia native could thrive.

Winnipeg needs a solid goalie prospect. Vancouver has a now expendable Markstrom. Granted it will take more than that but Kane would be a perfect fit for Vancouver. Local boy, left wing, (Canucks are short of LW) and 20-30 more goals in our top six. I can see him left of Bonino with Burrows on the right and Canucks have a credible second line threat.

His talent on the ice is very impressive? Lmao!! Good thing I wasn’t drinking a Pepsi when I read that…would’ve came out my nose!! He is a lazy, less – talented Ovechkin clone. No defensive skills whatsoever which in today’s NHL, gets you nowhere fast.

Sad but true. Coupled with his attitude he is locker room poison.

Bruins should start by offering Malcolm Subban and a couple defensemen

The Rangers acquiring Evander Kane would make too much sense. Speed, size, toughness. I doubt Sather has the capacity to know how much this could the Rangers. his off-season deals are attrocious.
